My 9 week old puppy is only 6.5 pounds in compared to other puppies i've seen on this site is quite little. He eats 5 times a day and has a good appetite.is this normal?
From the various threads I have seen on weight, that is about half the size of the average lab puppy at that age. (give or take).
Was the puppy from an actual breeder that knows what they are doing or someone that happened to have puppies?
Charlie (foster) and Rocky
Is it a mix maybe? I think my lab/beagle mix was just about 8 lbs when we got him at 9 weeks.
5 times a day seems excessive. 3 would be plenty for a 9 week old. Unless of course he is not 9 weeks old......
Sharon, Blaise and Diesel.
At 9 weeks my female was 16 lb. We got my male at 11 weeks and he was about 22 lbs so don't know what he was at 9 weeks.
Why is he eating so many times a day? Is he full lab?
Cleo, our black beauty
Zeus, our yellow, mellow, fellow
Generally, a Lab puppy weighs approx. twice his age, so at 9 weeks he should be closer to 18 pounds, give or take a pound or so.

That's too small for a lab puppy. I would suspect yours might be a mix?
Mine was 15 lbs at 9 weeks and eats twice a day
I believe that the OP is from Armenia ! I say this because different countries have different dogs and different values.
5 times a day is too much normally, but when it comes down to a puppy of this size then it's not normal so who knows how much you should feed it ?
We don't know what you are feeding or how much so how can we truly comment on whether you need to change his feeding habits or whether it is good for the pup.
As long as the pup is healthy then who cares ?
