DefaultBones / Marrow cause diarrhea ?

My wife thinks beef bones are giving Gracie 'the runs'. I think it's something else.
    Ideas ?

Yes - the marrow inside the marrow bones is very rich and it can cause diarrhea.

Yup..in a puppy with a sensitive tummy, the marrow will give them the runs.
Limit the time you let her chew on the bone until she is a little older.
Either that or scoop some of the marrow out so she doesn't get so much. It is very, very rich for a puppy.

I always scoop out most of the marrow for my adult dogs too. Plenty of good stuff left to chew.

either give the bone for 20 minutes and take away for another day or scoop out the marrow. they still like the bones.

I found Antos chew for dogs on a pet store and I got one for Cassie.. she LOVED IT!! Today I found it on the net and it's a marrow bone filled with vegetables or chicken or mint or cheese.. and it doesn't splinter.

Here is what it looks like

She didn't have the runs but the next day her poop was white! No other color, plain white! Then she was ok.

If dogs do not go to heaven, then I prefer to follow them where they go.

Those are vegetarian and not actually bones (based on what their site says).
