Red faceShameless product endorsement for those with dogs who don't eat.

It's probably rare-ish for a Lab not to eat a ton, but 8 days ago we started giving Nola Fido-Vite. Fido-Vite: Improving health from the inside out

Not sure how well it's actual purpose is working yet, but for 8 days, Ms Nola has EATEN!

    Thank you Fido-Vite.

We've tried everything, pureed chicken, cheese, canned food. If Nola wasn't going to eat, she'd sit in the living room watching the preparation of the meals and not come in the kitchen. Now, she break dances while I get her food ready.

    She's gained 6lbs in 8 days!

    YAY!

Now, I'm not one who thinks dogs need supplements and I don't believe for a minute that this is going to turn her poop into fairy dust that will make all my dreams come true, but she's EATING. And that's enough for me.

Cool. Have you tried the Royal Canin Mousse stuff? It's like crack for dogs.

My Dutch Shepherd was like that. Incredibly frustrating to live with a dog who seems to be able to live on air. Glad you found a product that works!

Sounds like something worth trying with my Emma. I have also tried everything and have broken down and hand fed her when she hasn't eaten for a day or so. I know I shouldn't do it but if I don't she wouldn't eat for days at a time and that can't be good for her.

I've tried everything for her. I've never had a dog that wouldn't eat, so it stressed me out that the chicken, mousse (yeah, I tried that), powders, ground livers didn't work for her.

This has provided me with 8 days of un-interupted eating. So happy.

She ate fine as a puppy, but then got sick and since then she hasn't been a reliable eater. I think she got a negative connotation with eating when she was sick and it hurt too much to eat. She doesn't like to have to really chew anything other than her marrow bones. Kibble or even dehydrated chicken when too hard to chew she refuses.

I'm going to have to keep this in my back pocket - Abbey has been a picky eater since she was a puppy. Interestingly enough we just switched from ProPlan Performance to Royal Canin and she scarfs the RC down with just water in it.
