    DefaultLimo's NEUTERED!

I'm so glad it's over with. He was done last Tuesday and he's doing great. Has anyone ever experienced any change in behavior, shortly after or is it just something that takes time? Mo was neutered at age 3, so Limo being neutered at 8 mos, I don't know what to expect.

I think that the whole behavior change thing is somewhat mythic. If there is any change, it is slow in coming as the hormone levels take time to leave. A lot of a dog's behavior is based on learning and habit rather than simply hormonal influence.

Neither of my boys seemed to have any behavior issues after neutering other than trying to lick the area. They did stop humping their bed afterwards, but I doubt you would miss that.

Shane was neutered at 18 months and I haven't noticed a change at all. He'll be 3 in March.

Scooby also was neutered when he was 6 - 7 months old and he calmed down a little bit now that he's 14 months old. I don't think you will see that change right away, it will take time and some training !
