DefaultSwitching food dosage and time until completion.

As I mentioned on another post I have switched to Acana due to some health issues.

Cassie gets 2 meals a day of 200grams each time. I've started the switch of 20% then go to 40%, 60% and so on. Today she had 40grams of Acana and 160grams of ProPlan.
My question is in how many days shall I complete the switch? Shall I increase Acana day by day? For example 20% the first day. 40% the second day and adding 20% each day? Or shall I give her 20% for 2 days or 3 days and then increase it?

If I give her 3 times in a row 20% then 3 times in a raw 40% and so one I will be switching 100% in 7 days. I guess this is the right approach to go for, right?

    thank you.

I switched Sophie over the course of a week when she was younger. Now she seems to have a cast iron stomach and I just switch without doing it gradually. I figure as much stuff as she manages to get into, how bad can it be? Hahaha! Sophie is 16 months now. Which Acana did you chose? Since I talk to you on here often, I had to look Cyprus up on the map! So you live in the Mediterranean Sea... Cool!

I chose Acana Puppy Large Breed for now.

Yes I live in the Mediterranean Sea
Cyprus has around 838,897 population (does not include North - Turkish occupied area). Cyprus in Greek is called "Κύπρος" (Kępros.) Our time zone is UTC+2. The farthest distance you can drive is about 2 hours and 30 mins. Including traffic. (again does not include North, but if you count North just add 1 hour more And as you can read in Wikipedia Cyprus is the third most populous island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of its most popular tourist destinations, so you are all welcome to visit Cyprus.

When I switch food, I do it over a couple weeks. I start with maybe 1/8 of the new food for a couple days, then increase the new food and decrease the old food.

When the switch is over should I give less dosage than what's indicated on the package due to high proteins?

The feeding guidelines are really only a suggestion. Sometimes you will have to increase or decrease the amount given if she gets thin or starts to look a little chunky.
