    Defaultblood spots on the floor

When I woke up this morning I noticed some blood spots on the floor where Cassie was sleeping. Then I saw a few other blood spots on a different spot in the room. I touched one blood spot and it was really blood, fresh blood. Some of it was even on my bed - she gets on the bed too.

What is that?? Should I worry? I will ask the vet but I need opinions from you please. she's 8 months and 15 days old

Update: there are 3-4 blood spots in her crate. It must be from yesterday. Her poop this morning was clean. No blood in it.

How old is she? Is she spayed?

I don't know if it is possible but maybe an early heat?

I have no idea about female dogs & their heats, etc.

She's got all her adult teeth in now right?

Check her from head to toe - slowly run your hands over her, check her paws carefully look between toes & pads, armpits, tail, belly, ears, mouth, nose - everything. She could have stepped on something or hurt herself on something. At this point a call to the vet is kind of pointless as he will likely tell you to check her over first!

Labs don't really show pain, but is she acting normal?

The room floor was clean last night before we go to bed. She is acting very normal. She has no sign of injury anywhere on her body.

What do you mean by heat?

There are probably better sites/info you could find, just google "female dog in heat"

I'm sure others will chime in, I just don't have any experience directly with female dogs so I am not much help!
