DefaultHELP!!! My Baby is loosing her fur! :(

    Hi Guys,
I am new to this site and i need huge advise!
My lab is 7years old bitch that has been spayed she is loosing the fur on her sides and her skin is dry and brown, sometimes flaky sometime very red, she did loose all the fur of her muzzle however that has now grown back but her sides does not seem to be getting any better, we have been to the vets and she has seen three different vets and has been tested for allergies, diabetes, mites, mange, parkinsons disease, thyroid disease, literally everything possible it can be and all have said they dont know what can be causing it, the only thing i can think of if not medical is stress.

My dog lives with my mum as i am unable to have her where i am staying so i am thinking it may be due to this but it seems strange how hair on her muzzle has now grown back but the rest has not. Please please help me! Has anyone heard of anything like that or had this situation before?

When our Sophie was going bald, our vet had us put her on grain free food. She also gets fish oil caplets for dry skin. I give her 2 a day. She may need an antibiotic as well, if she has a skin infection along with it. Within 2 weeks of going grain free, her hair was growing back. When your vet tested for allergies, was she tested for food allergy? Also fleas can do it. We use Comfortis to make sure she doesn't have any. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

She has seen three different vets all to a stump and told us to change her over to a grain free diet and that has had no improvement

I'd see a dermatologist at this point.

Agree, sounds like it's been as thoroughly checked out with a regular vet as it could be. A dermatologist could be the answer.

Have your vets done a skin scraping and tested for mange?
