Sam has uneven hips. The vet did not mention hip dysplasia. Is it the same? She's on meds for the pain, and we have been told to make sure she stays active. Anyone have experience with this?
Do you mean they are uneven as in one sits higher than the other?
I know HD can cause arthritis, but I'm not an expert on the specifics. I know some dogs with HD will bunny hop or stand with the bad leg more under the body.
How old is Sam? I would ask the vet to be a bit more specific.

Sam is 8. Yes. One hip sits higher than the other. She was 75 pounds. She's now down to 65. (I think). I wasn't at the appointment.
She's been bunny hopping down the steps and is on tramadol. She goes back to the vet for another adjustment (chiropractic) soon, I'll send questions if I can't go.
Hmm.. I would definitely ask a few more questions especially if she's been bunny hopping and you can see a difference in the hips.
Does the vet adjust her back or also her hips?
The vet adjusted her back and said her hips were uneven. I can't see it, myself. She certainly has taken to sitting oddly. More sloppy sits than before and a sloppier sloppy sit.
