DefaultWhat other foods can I give my lab?

Can you please tell me what other food can I give to Cassie besides dry food? Yesterday I have given her two small pieces of rabbit. She loved it! What other foods can I give her once in a while?

Chicken and other lean meats. We give Sophie treats from time to time. She also likes carrots, green beans, peas, potatoes, apples and bananas...

There's loads of stuff you can try them on, easier if you know what not to give them...

She will nibble a raw carrot....but I give her canned green beans, peas, carrots...she gets them with her kibble when I have them for dinner. She is an apple stealer, and strips our apple tree as high as she can reach! I don't give her the fat on meats. I just figure its probably not any better for her than it is for us. So many of the packaged dog treats are from China. Always read the fine print. You'd be surprized at even some name brand products from there. China has been behind salmonella and other dog killing ailments. So I just give her treats from what I cook, like a piece of beef, or salmon etc.

I give the same kind of stuff that Pam gives Sophie, except for chicken or beef as he is allergic. Diesel loves a fresh baked salmon fillet (cooled of course) the skin on is even better - that drives him mental!

I give Nellie a can of sardines in olive oil or water once or twice a week mixed with her dry food. She will eat just about anything that she sees me put in my mouth.

You can give it to her raw. Just get her used to it, a little at a time. Mine love the salmon skin.

The fried potatoes made me laugh. Not at you, it just sounded funny. It's not good to give them fried anything. Just like us.
