Defaulthow do you get your lab to brush his teeth.

When Cassie was younger she let me brush her teeth with no fuss. Lately at the age of 7mo she refuses to brush her teeth. I have to sit on the couch let her lie on my laps and try to brush her teeth quickly. She only likes to lick the tooth paste but she won't open her mouth to brush her teeth.

How do you get your to brush his teeth with no fuss?

Are there any tooth pastes with flavors? I got it from the vet and we brush every night.

    Thank you.

I hand him his tooth brush and tell him to brush. (Just kidding).

I have liver flavored tooth paste for him, and he loves it. I brush his teeth everyday, so he is used to the routine.

I'll try to find one. You got it online?

Well if you haven't been doing it daily with success like Debi, getting her a flavour she may like won't necessarily help. She may just end up licking it more & still not letting you brush. Having her sit on your lap may be too lax for her - that position gives her more leeway to refuse than it does you to get it done.

I get Diesel to stand or sit, I go behind him & squeeze him between my legs so he can't get away & I just open his trap & start brushing away. Sure he tries to shove it out with his tongue & tries to clamp his mouth shut, but in this position it is easier for me to just wrangle my way in there!

I tried it when they were younger with the beef flavored paste but I quit a long time ago.

I think it's easier without toothpaste. Bean just wants to lick and chew it off the brush.

I have never tried to brush my dog's teeth. Even Belle, when she died st eighteen had pearly withe teeth. I contribute to knuckle bones and a good diet.

Two of her teeth have become little yellow and the vet told me that it's not a big deal, and If I want him to remove it for me in the clinic. So I'm brushing her teeth to avoid this kind of problems to her teeth. I'm also giving her the purina pro plan dental pro bar.

    How do you use this?

Do you just hold it and rub their teeth?
