    1. She started by asking how to add muscle to "her dog." She was asked what she is feeding the dog, and asked to post pictures. She wouldn't do either, instead it become very obvious that her only intention was to push a muscle building supplement.

    2. She posted that many well respected members were abusive to their dogs. According to her, allowing dogs to swim in ponds, live in apartments, and exercising a dog for more than 1 hour of on-leash walking/day is abusive.

    3. She indicated that some members are depressed and take anti-depressant medications that apparently cause a hormonal imbalance turning women into men. Seriously, this was so ridiculous that it did make me laugh.

    4. She suggested that a long-time member kill herself to do the world a favor, and followed this up by telling the person to be civil and use educated language. I'm not sure what is civil and educated about telling someone to kill them self.

    5. She said that we are nothing but a group of McDonald's eating, lying, old hags that are getting endorsements from pet food companies.

A summary should be fair and balanced. Dave is really good summaries!!

ETA: Since my post is 2nd in line, I figured I would edit it with Debi's more accurate depiction of the events that took place in case anyone new dropping by doesn't want to sift through 8 pages of garbage.

No suggestions on food to gain lean muscle weight - I'm sure someone else may know & chime in, but what are you doing for exercise? How much weight has she lost & how quickly? Do you know why she lost the weight? Sick, etc? Other than the vet suggesting a food change, what was the vet's opinion on her weight & overall health?

What are you feeding and how much? Was she ill? What does she weigh? Most Labs could stand to lose some weight - it's unusual for someone asking how to add it on their dog.

I am not sure I get your question. why would you want to put on weight on the dog? are they are a good weight?

for muscle you need to exercise a dog to build the muscle - but when doing this you shouldn't worry about "weight" just good muscle tone.

Has your dog lost weight with no change in exercise in food? are they healthy?

Exercise and a good, grain free high protein food.

Moka before going high protein grain free:

Moka after switching to grain free...and lots of exercise:

I think finding the right food along with the right amount of exercise makes a huge difference in their condition.

THIS - exactly what javasmom posted

Javasmom was one of the first people I met on the forum who actually helped educate me on the benefits of grain free food combined with excercise. If her pictures dont show the proof of the results of it then nothing will. I am very fortunate to have been able to meet her before getting my pup because he is sooooooo fit trim lean and muscular at his 4 1/2 months old. The vet just raves about his coat and weight and muscles. I really truly do believe its the food and excercise.

    Thanks javasmom

BTW-did you end up sticking with TOTW or did you switch to something else because of the recalls?
I dumped TOTW totally from my rotation and added Earthborn Holistics. Good food, good company (no recalls) family owned and very well priced.
And my girls LOVE it-they lick the floor and walls after eating to make sure they didn't miss any! lol

This is good to know! I looked into Fromm as a secondary but every formula has a form of chicken - meal, liver, fat, etc - other than the Beef formula. Diesel is allergic to both beef & chicken, lol. I just called our local store & they can get Earthborn - don't carry it regularly - so they have a bag of the Meadow Feast on order for us to try. It looks like a great quality food!
