I recently switched my dog to Innova Large Breed Puppy formula, he was on Blue Buffalo, but his stool was always so runny and the vet suggested that his food had too much protein in it. Innova was one of the better ones that I could find with a lower protein level. I am wondering if anyone else feeds their lab puppies Innova? Why or why not? I want to do what is best for him, and if I am already paying $60+ per bag of food, I want to make sure he is getting the best

I fed Nola the Giant Breed Puppy when she was diagnosed with HOD and within a few days, she was better. I continued to feed it until the bag was done.
I also just bought 6 bags of Innova Prime. I am going to feed it after I am done a test of a few bags of Horizon Pulsar.

Innova is now owned by Proctor and Gamble so I doubt that their quality is the same as it used to be.
I have heard someone else mention that. Are there any other good brands with a lower protein percentage that you can recommend?
I know Orijen has a large breed puppy. I have come to the conclusion though that dog food feeding is personal choice and everyone may have a different reason for what they feed. I like the Orijen, I like Acana. There is also GO,and one called NOW. There is one of the Fromms that I've heard is good for growing pups. I personally like Ziwi Peak,Annamaet, and what I'm currently feeding is Blackwoods. I am also going to try another food Anarondack(I think thats spelled wrong). I may also give Merrick a whirl. I like to try different foods, for the dogs I have, though the new girl Im going to be taking it slow so I don't screw up her tummy.
I used to feed Innova and EVO interchangeably. I loved the product...hated the price. My boys did great on it.
