    DefaultSick Lab

    Hi everyone,
My lab has been ill the last couple of days. Everytime she eats she vomits after. The vet suggested Gravol but I'm wondering has anyone else given their lab gravol and how long did it take to take effect and help with the vomiting.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I hope your furbaby feels better, mine was sick a few days ago but white rice and a limited diet helped.

Try rice and boiled chicken. Give small meals several times a day instead of feeding a normal amount a couple times a day.

There is an injection that the vet can give, that way nothing gets on the dog's stomach. Now if this were me, I'd be doing a full blood panel on the dog. Vomiting like this is not normal and I'd be worried about dehydration at this point.

Why is this dog vomiting? That is what I would want to know.

I'd get the dog back to the vet first thing tomorrow for sub-q fluids as she is probably quite dehydrated.

Thanks for all the posts. Yes Mia has an appointment to see the vet first thing in the morning. The vet I spoke with said they would be doing blood work and possibly putting her on an IV. Mia hasn't been drinking much but she will eat ice cubes so at least she is getting some water. My husband and I are very concerned as Mia has never been this sick before. We wondered if she might have eaten something she shouldn't have. Hopefully we'll have some answers tomorrow.
