    DefaultRemi can't keep food down

Last night when I gave Remington his dinner he would take a few bites and then throw it up. He is doing the same thing this morning. He is acting fine otherwise. Any idea what could be wrong?

Maybe he has something stuck in his throat, or belly? Does he still seem to be hungry, just can't keep the food down?

Yes, He tries to eat, but it just instantly comes back up. He chews on his bones. I just gave him a treat after clipping his nails and he kept that down. Then I tried to get him to eat his food. He did eat it, but it came back up. Then he eats it back up and it seems to stay down. We mowed our grass yesterday and I don't know if he is eating grass and it is upsetting his stomach?????? thanks for the help!

    How old is he?

Dogs can get stomach viruses like an other creature - it could just be that - or it could be something more serious.

I would remove all bones and stop giving treats. Fast him for a day (continue giving fluids) and then start him on boiled ground beef or chicken and white rice. If he keeps that down give him that meal for a couple of days and then work back in the kibble. If he continues to throw up, particularly if he can't keep down fluids, he needs to see a vet.

He is 6 months old. I am going to call teh vet to be safe. Especially since it is Easter weekend. I want to make sure he is okay before the long weekend.

That's a good idea. I hope he's ok - check in with us later, k?

Just called the vet and told them what is going on. The tech is going to talk to the vet and call me back. Waiting on pins and needles right now hoping he is okay. He is sleeping right now. Poor baby! I will let you know what I find out. Thanks for the concern!

This just happened to me last week.. had me freaked out. Poor Gemma had diarhea and then threw up like 4 huge piles about 20 minutes after eating breakfast. Vet told me to feed her boiled rice with a tablespoon of lean grou her and beef per uncooked cup of rice for 3 days and to let her eat as muchas she wants during the day. Seemed to do the trick and on the 4th day I mixed the rice with her kibble for the day and then gave her kibble by itself the next day. It worked. Hopefully thats all you have to do to help ur doggie.

Advice here is exactly what i have done in the past. But I do understand checking with a Vet with Easter weekend almost here. I hope to see some good news here for your dog. Do let us know. We care and we love our dogs.
