A couple of times I have run out of food so if I must buy supermarket food this the best here in NZ. Personally not one I would buy on a regular basis as I dont buy supermarket food. Many do and do well on it.
Laura bought if for Gems she loved it,and her coat was lovely.

Dogs love beneful because it has sugar in it. It is a really cheap horrible food. It pays in the end to buy good food. I feed mine Taste of the Wild Salmon. Nellie is about 100 pounds and gets one cup in the a.m. and one cup in the p.m so a bag lasts me over a month. It is well worth it.

thanks for all your opinions on the food i thought i was going better with the food not worse. his old food was purina one smartblend because beneful had the AAFCO message on it but purina one didnt, and our news station did a story and said we should feed food with that message on it. looks like after this bag is gone im looking for a new food again.

It's crap, that's what's wrong with it. Read the ingredients. See any real meat in there? It's like Sugar Frosted Flakes.......all sugar, no nutrition. You'll feed a ton of it and your dog will crap it all out.

Purina One is an okay food. If you're stuck with grocery store food, then one of the Iams foods is okay too. If you can afford something a bit more, then ProPlan (NOT one of the shredded blends) is good. You'll feel less of the better foods like ProPlan. For a good basic food I always recommend ProPlan adult Chicken and Rice (again NOT the Shreds) but not all stores carry it. If you can't find it, then try the ProPlan Sensitive Skin and Stomach which is fish based and you can find that just about anywhere (not in a grocery store).

Yes, Purina One or Iams are the good grocery store brands.

    We feed Pro Plan too.
