hey guys so my pup (she is 4 months old) has been having green eye discharge lately as oppose to clear.... not sure if that is a sign of infection, does anyone know if this is normal in labs?
she did receive her vet visit a few days ago and got her rabies shot as well as distemper/parvo combo.
I would call the vet but I'm not trying to pay again for an office visit
Can be lots of things. My guys have it right now, but that's typical for them this time of year. WHen they were puppies it was conjectivitis. Have the vet check it out.

Green discharge is a sign of infection. Clear is not. If your dog is running a green discharge, call your vet. Tell them you were there a few days ago and that the eye issue wasn't addressed, maybe they won't charge another office call. Either way, I'd see a vet. It is never good to see the green gunk. Here is what webmd says about it: Dog Eye Discharge Causes and Treatments

Landon had green discharge once and it turned out to be allergies. He was running through a high grass field and a piece of grass went into his eye. He was fine in about 3 days.
Green means infection. Clear is okay. Call your vet.

Green is not good. Green means "GO" to vet.
