DefaultThoughts on Synoquin/ synoflex for joint issues.

Erns is doing well considering the state of his hips, but as we expected is getting progressively worse.

He has been having Pentosan injections every month for a couple of years, Pred for his Crohns and joints, and been on Synoquin for about 6 weeks. It is a more pure form of Glucosamine and suppose to be very good. I don't know if it is helping. On bad days he has Tramadol.

As to the Pred. I hate it, but it was a choice I made 2 years ago to give him a better life, keeps his Crohns stable, also knowing it could eventaully kill him.

I am sorry you had to make a choice to give your dog a med that could shorten his life, that sucks. You sound like a great owner and it is obvious you care very much, just keep loving your dog as you already do.

Before I hijack my own post. lol I put that in the post to give all the infor and the reason he is on pred.
Pred is a great thing short term. Long term it is horrible, and we try to keep the does as low as we can, but still help. Yes I do care very much so hung out as long as we could before we went down this track.
