    QuestionEVO feeders?

I used to feed Apollo Orijen (regional red), but they got very expensive. So, we switched over to Evo (red meat formula). We're on, I believe, our 3rd bag now. But, Apollo has had a few bouts of diarreah (complete liquid). He's also really gassy- the smell could melt paint! This has happend twice in about a month and a half. When he had his annual last month, right after the first bout, I told our vet this. Nothing came up in his stool, and he is overall very healthy (active, good weight, clean teeth/ears, happy-go-lucky). He hasn't vomitted or anything like that. The bag isn't rancid, either. It looks and smells like the other bags I've bought all from the same store. He eats 3c/day and is 95lbs (he's a large lab, not fat).

Anyone else having issues with Evo?

I don't feed EVO kibble, but I do supplement with EVO 95% canned food.
    I haven't had any issues...but it wouldn't surprise me after the P & G buyout.

That's kind of why I was asking. After hearing about the buyout, and with Apollo having sudden diarreah, it really makes me wonder. Ugh. I really wish they didn't sell out!!

I am on the lookout for a new food now. I'd like to try THK but he'd eat so much of it compared to 2.5-3/c on Orijen or EVO.

Have you thought about TOTW, Nature's Variety Instinct or Fromm?
What are you looking for in a food? Grain free, protein source, etc....I can offer suggestions if you let me know what you're looking for!!

    Hey-where in MA are you?
I'm in MA too...northern Worcester County, near the Southern NH border!

I'm looking for something that has high beef protein, little/no graines. Apollo gets the itchies from chicken and gas from fish. Lamb is OK, but he doesn't seem to enjoy it, unless it's in raw form, lol.

We're on the South shore....Hingham, Hull, Cohasset area. Nice to see another MA person here!

I'm considering Innova Red Meat for Bean. Pet Products - Healthy Dog Food, Natural Cat Food, Gourmet Dog Biscuits ? Innova Holistic Pet Food

We're also in MA, central/western area. Got Bean up near javasmom's way.

I've fed my boys EVO turkey for the last 6 years with no issues at all. Recently one of mine has been getting gunky ears, so I'm switching up the food to see if that helps. They're on their first bag of Orijen and are doing well on it. I also like that I'm supporting a Canadian company. It's also cheaper up here than EVO is.
