    DefaultBad teeth.

My dog Buddy is a rescue. Someone abandoned him in a house after they moved. Anyway, his teeth are in pretty bad shape and I was just wondering what kind of things I could do to help out.

Dogs can have dental cleanings, extractions, procedures, etc. done just like humans. I would check with your vet and see what they recommend to keep him comfortable

Do you have a veterinary school near you? If you do, I would take the dog there for a one time complete dental checkup. Once you have those results, you can decide if it is something you can take careof with your regular vet, a vet specializing in dentistry, or the vetinary school.

sounds like your dentist should be recommending a dental exam or more.
