DefaultHoudini Dog (or so my dh says!)

Ok, so my husband swears he put Apollo in his crate before he went to work but when he got home from work Apollo was out of the crate Houdini style...not a chance. He still swears he put him in his crate...he simply forgot about him....so scary.

Anyways, he ate a whole bunch of stuff including a whole bar of soap, which he regurgitated before we got home...he also tried some oranges...but must be he didn't like them, since there were only teeth marks in them. He also went through the bathroom garbage and probably ate the hair that was in there (for some strange reason, he loves hair).

He also chewed on a couple of tupperware containers and tried to get into a bottle of advil...thankfully they make those bottles very well and child/puppy proof.

My concern is that he ate what was left of the mixed nuts that I didn't like. Namely about a dozen or so Brazil nuts...whole, shells and all. It has been a few days but I haven't noticed any Brazil nut type of debris in his poo. Should I be concerned?

I have to admit I didn't notice he had gotten into those too until a day or so later, so myabe he did deficate them before I noticed.

Or maybe???? Would his body actually break down the shells? I wouldn't think so...but....maybe?

I'm thinking if he got into all that a couple of days ago and hasn't shown any ill affects that he'll be OK. I'd keep an extra eye on him just to make sure, tho.

Labs eat anything and everything and for some reason lucky for us most of it passes without too much trouble..apart from making us sick with worry.

Glad he seems o.k.now. Easy to muck up when in a hurry and forget to close the crate properly. I have done it several times and the demolition man or girl has a good time.

LOL sorry... your post made me laugh... especially the bar of soap LOLOL did he have bubbles coming out of his bum? On a serious note, it's pretty scary what they can get into, hope all that passes through his system nicely, and I'm SO glad the advil bottle was tightly closed and he didn't get into that.
