    DefaultNeed help with Possible broken or Dislocated toe?

    Tex my Lab/Golden mix has either dislocated or broken his toe, I have attached a photo can anyone confirm this? I plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow to get him checked out.

    Hi Jim. It's hard to see in the picture, but just rest him until you can get him to the vet tomorrow. Take him out on a leash to potty and then right back into the house to rest. I had one break a toe. It took about 8 weeks for it to heal.

    Xray is likely the only thing that can be certain ... totally with Labby here ...

    absolutely rest him til you know what you are dealing with

    I have to be honest, the picture isn't too clear. His toes look normal to me. Again, the vet's the best bet, and like these guys said, an X-Ray will tell you for sure. R and R is the best policy for now. Try and keep him off the toe if you can.

    Thanks Laura, and all for the responses, Turned out it was a broken nail, The doctor clipped it and all is well again, or will be.
