    DefaultStrawberries & dogs?

Anyone know if it's ok to give them the occasional one? It's strawberry season here & I'm living on them. Trouble is, I've got a Pug who also loves them. I've given him about 6 in the last 2 weeks & he eats them like he eats bananas. It looks funny but I've being wondering - are they safe to feed or are they poisonous to dogs like grapes & chocolate are?

No issues I am aware of. Hopefully not, cause Lexi loves strawberries. She'll actually go into grandma's strawberry patch & eat them right off the plants.

Libby loves strawberries too! I pick the wild ones and give her. She also likes raspberries and blackberries.

I haven't heard anything bad about them, Garth. Caleb gets a scoop of berries every night- a mix of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries.

Totally safe. Baloo has been eating strawberry tops since he was a baby. Waste not want not!

Thanks guys that's a relief. He had 2 more tonight. It's impossible NOT to give them to him. As soon as he hears the fridge door open & he gets a whiff of that smell, he's screaming for them.

Strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, apples! If they are poisonous to dogs, HK should be dead. I don't give them to her, she goes out and find them. We had quite the apple crop this year and she has been having herself a feast.

They are fine for dogs. My guys get all kinds of fruits and veggies (no grapes, raisins, or onions) all the time. They even munch cabbage leaves!
