DefaultBlue - does anyone feed it?

With the cost of kibble and green beans growing far faster than my salary, I am actually considering another food change *shudder*.

Has anyone tried the Blue kibble with their Labs? What kind? The large breed or regular? How did they do?

What's your cost of green beans?

I buy a 5 lb. bag of frozen green string beans at Sam's Club for about $5 and cook up batches for several days' meals at a time.

I buy a 40 lb. bag of Kirkland Chicken, Rice & Veggies at Costco for about $28. (Kirkland's C, R &V is similar to Diamond Natural's formula and is made by the same company, Schell & Kampeter, that also makes Kirkland and TOTW.) Kirkland and "DN" have no corn or wheat in them.

Puff [YF, AKC field line (from competing HT/FT breeder) 62 lbs, dob: 8-'01]

Bess [BF, AKC bench line (from competing show breeder) 55 lbs., 1967-1981] "Poor Bess, the Wonder Dog":

    We do!

I love it! They have great poops, skin and coat is awsome. This is the third food Ive tried with them, and so far its the best!

We use just the regular adult, not large breed.

BTW Im pretty sure they like it too

They do best on a fish-based food, and have to be grain-free. I really don't want to make a change, as they are doing so well on the TOTW, but I am trying to find ways to cut costs.

Last year, I got green beans at Aldi's for $0.39 a can. Now they are $0.55! I bought six cases at Kroger's when they had them at 2/$1.00, and got mostly salt-free. I'll have to look into the frozen ones at Sam's next.

I have tried the Blue - my 4 did not do great on it. Too much grain I think. I was using the large breed Chicken and Rice. I also did not like that they did not have a "reduced fat" option at that time (I think they just came out with one) as a few of mine tend to pack on the pounds very easily.
