    DefaultAlternative to Lotus

I've been feeding my black-and-tan labrador Lotus brand puppy formula, which is available at Centinela Feed Co. here in southern California. From their website, there's no retailers selling it anywhere in Missouri or Illinois. He and I are about to spend a month or more in St. Louis. What would be a good, reasonably widely available alternative to Lotus that I can pick up while I'm there? How's PetSmart's Blue Buffalo? .:Lotus Natural Pet Food:. http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...n=Dog#prodTab1 ... Thanks!

If you are only going to be there for a month - why don't you buy enough and bring it. Switching a dog to another food can really upset their gut.

I never heard of Lotus, myself.

I don't know that it'll only be a month, is the problem (taking care of some family business, could be smooth, could get contentious).

What I'm thinking I could / should do is get him started (mixed with Lotus) on something that can be sourced from PetSmart or somesuch while we're in L.A. and have it be readily accessible in Missouri...

    What's a good food that's widely available?

    Thanks!

Okay, we went with Natural Balance: Limited Ingredients, it seemed to be pretty close to the Lotus in kind and quality.
