DefaultA Taste of the Wild food

Has anyone out there used A Taste of the Wild food? It's grain-free.

The company that makes it (Schell & Kampeter) also makes a variety of brands -- Diamond (low grade), Diamond Naturals (high grade), Costco's Kirkland (similar to DNs), and many others. I've fed Puff Kirkland for 7 years.

I have a great deal of respect for the company.

However, last summer Puff and I made an extended 3k mile/4.8 km trip and picked up a small bag of TOTW (don't remember which TOTW formula) to feed Puff as a treat. I expected she'd really love it. Instead, she wouldn't eat it.

I've seen the formula. It looks good.

IF your dog is an adult (and not needing a Large Breed Puppy food) and IF it likes the formula, hey!, why not?

We use Taste of The Wild Pacific Stream (the fish version). The boys love it and they both do very well on it. It's also the cheapest grain-free food I've found.

We feed TOTW High Prairie (venison and bison) formula. They do really well on it...even my picky eater gobbles it up!

I had been using Innova Eva , and bought some TOW because it seemed pretty good, was less expensive and I could get it at TSC. I'm not usre what it was, but my dogs didn't seem to like it as well, and they got fleas for the first time in their life. However, they had done well on Diamond and Purina Pro-Plan before.

We use it...all "flavors" but the fish is the boys least favorite. Have used it for about 2 years with no problems.

Abbey is on TOTW High Prairie and it has done her very well. She has a lot of GI issues - her whole system is very sensitive, but it works great and she hasn't had a problem with it.

We've tried the other 2 varieties, but I found that they both gave her gas and the fish formula gave her icky breath.

I picked up some TOTW Wetlands Formula for Zakk today (trying grain free to see if it helps his allergies). I put some in his bowl and he gobbled it down.... seemed to love it. I really hope this helps his allergies .

We feed both Rudder and Scupper TOTW Pacific Stream due to Rudder's chicken allergy
(just easier to feed both of them the same). It is hard to find a chicken free dog food. The girls LOVE it and gobble it up. My vet and others comment how great their coats look to.
