    DefaultPuppy Hiccups?

Daisy hiccups A LOT. She had done so since I got her a week ago, tomorrow. I'd say she has the hiccups at least 8 times a day, lasting for 30 sec. to 2 min. She was at the vet today, I told him, he told me not to worry, she would grow out of it, and if she doesn't, try a food switch (she eats 3 cups of Innova LB puppy, currently.) I'm not too worried, as she acts fine, and checked out healthy, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this? Any idea if it would constitute a food change?
    Thanks!

My guy did the same thing when he was little and he's 1 now and maybe hiccups once a week. She'll grow out of it.

It'll go away eventually -- Polly's two and she'll still get a quick case of the hiccups once or twice a week. It's all part of being a puppy, very normal. Now, when you're trying to take a nap and your hiccupy dog just has to be on the couch with you....that's a problem

Piper had occassional hiccups for about the first week or so too. I don't think it's anything to worry about either as my older girls still get them on occassion too. I don't think it has anything to do with food. It's normal.

It goes away. Ollie doesn't anymore, and he used to quite a bit.

Yes, hiccups are completely normal for puppies that are growing. Mostly it is because the sternum is growing faster or at different rates than the muscles and nerves in that area, and/or the puppy is taking in air with their food and water.
