How often do you clean your dog's ears and brush their teeth? What does the inside of their ears look like before you clean them?

My dogs clean each other's ears. I don't brush teeth. They get marrow bones.

There is a school of thought that says that cleaning ears with a cleaning solution makes for more wax production and screws up the pH in the ear. Makes some sense to me.

if they do not get bones I think brushing once a week or two is good if you can. with bones you can probably reduce that.

for ears, when needed. if they are not too dirty it isn't worth it. I have also heard you can wash them too often which can irritate them....so only as needed this can end up being many months between cleanings

what bones have you tried? with some bones it takes Rocky awhile to get into them. with others he goes faster.

Teeth are brushed every other day, but because HK does have dental issues. Firtst dog I ever brushed teeth for.

Ears, summer and early fall when she has spent timein the river, or some other water swimming. Other than that, only if a problem presents itself.
