DefaultPAW problem...limping, no blood, seems to have split or growth...

BEAR is 3 yrs. old and began limping. I checked paws and found one of his paws red, no blood. Near the big pad it looks like a whiter colored piece of paw that I can move push apart from black part? Doesn't seem like a growth? I'm going to check this site for a similar problem, but if it sounds like something someone has heard let me know. Looks like vet on monday!

    Thanks-

    BEAR's dad...Joe :suspious: :'( :scare:

Hard to tell without seeing it but Molly cut her paw pad a few years ago & it was a different color for quite awhile. It did not bleed after the intial day she cut it on ice crusted snow. It is always better to have your vet look at it. Maybe Bear cut it ot split the pad a bit. Let us know how he is.
