    Defaultsweet potato for loose poops?

A friend told me that feeding her dog dried sweet potato treats has made her dog (greyhound) more "regular". I guess he had somewhat loose poops, now firm. Anyone heard of this before?

I haven't heard of the sweet potato treats. I've always used 100% pure canned pumpkin. I've used about 2 tablespoons when feeding. My dogs love it and it does help with loose stool.

Moose just got over a round of diarrhea - we fed him plain rice, plain cooked chicken and a few spoonfuls of pumpkin (100% pure pumpkin in a can) throughout the day as advised by our vet. He's back to normal now, and he loved it
