I have read on multiple places that labs tend to shed a lot. What is the best brush to use to keep the shedding under somewhat control?

Furminator. Hands down.
Baloo - 5 year old black lab
Peanut - 7 year old minpin
Monster - 3-ish year old frenchie/jack, rescue
Another vote for a Zoom Groom. If you can't find one, get a rubber curry comb for horses. It's pretty much the same thing. I finish off with a "greyhound" comb.
I use both the Furminator and the Zoom Groom.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
That's an understatement.I have read on multiple places that labs tend to shed a lot.
Here's a photo of Duke after a brief Zoom Groom session.
I also use a Furminator but the Zoom Groom is very gentle and can be used frequently.
Remember the saying "If you own a Lab, dog hair is considered a condiment."
The Zoom Groom only cost about $7.00 and the Furminator can run you over $40.00
Here's a link to see what a Zoom groom looks like.
