You can ask her and she will swear she isn't.
In fact, yesterday on our way to pick up Hershey Kisses, she told me that she wanted, 'She was a good sport.' engraved on her headstone. Having three dogs in the house was too much. two dogs was two much. in fact she wasn't really happy with one dog, but she is being a good sport.
Please roll clock about 6 hours. It is 10pm. I am going to sleep. Newman sleeps in the bedroom withhis Mom and Dad. When he has stayed here before, we have left him down stays, gated in the Family Room and Hershey Kisses hallway. He will not stay there. He will knock down or jump the gate to get upstairs to or bedroom. We have given up and just let him up. So he is upstairs with me.
10:30pm: DD heads for bed and takes Louie with her.
11:00pm: DW is coming up to bed. Nudge Ed, nudge Ed. 'What's up, DW?'
DW: 'It's not fair.'
Ed: What's nt fair?'
DW: Newman and Louie are upstairs in the bedrooms and Hershey is downstairs.'
Ed: 'Okay! I'll go get Hershey.'
DW: 'NO! I'll go get her and bring her up.'
Hershey races up the stairs, up on the bed, assumes the ball position on my bed, and sighs goodnight.
DW gets back to the bedroom, 'See! She wanted to be with us too!'
At which point, Hershey gets up, walks over to her and kisses her face, then returns to previos position. Ed lays there smiling. DW is not a dog person. DW is not a dog person. Remember Ed, DW is not a dog person.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
Its like admitting to an addiction. The first step is to say..
"I DO like DOGS. I AM A DOG PERSON"
Its all uphill, or maybe downhill from there LOL
That is very cute Ed. Sounds to me like she has been converted. She is now one of us.
Sounds totally like my mom. She says she's not much of a animal person yet it was her idea to get my sister a dog when we were younger. When my sister grew up and took the dog with her mom kept suggesting they get another dog because dad wanted one, but dad didn't want another dog. When I'm home with my dogs she pampers them too. Not a dog person ....right....
Just 'cos you aren't a dog person doesn't mean you need to be mean to the puppers but if she's not a dog person then HK on the bed is an extreme sacrifice !
To me the extreme sacrifice would be to not have the puppers in the bedroom * shock horror* - ain't going to happen I'm afraid !
Good job HK you brought mom to the other side!!
LOL! My hubby isn't a dog person either but I catch him lovin' on them from time to time.
sounds a little bit like the lady doth protest too much!
Right. Just like I'm not a dog person. Or wasn't until Toby. And Chamois. Both of whom sleep on the bed and are the focus of most of our time and disposable income.
And volunteering for lab rescue. Um... I do still have cats!
Toby and Chamois say: GO STEELERS!
That is so sweet, I knew HK would change her mind. You can't help but love them.
