Is this what happens if you abuse your Labrador? I always knew they're resourceful buggers

Okay, maybe I am confused here, but I read the story there is nothing about abuse.

It was an accident, a very unfortunate one, on a duck hunting trip. My question would be, why was a loaded shot gun laying in the bottom of the boat, where anyone could have stepped on it.

    My pretty girl, Lexi!

Sorry, never saw your reply. There was nothing about abuse, It's just not every day that a dog shoots it's owner and I thought that this would be an amusing take on an unfortunate accident. Clearly my idea of what's funny isn't shared.

I agree 100% though - Why was there a loaded gun in the boat? Guess he'll be more careful next time though.

His lab did him a favor reminding him to keep the safety on when not in use. He could have been killed.

    riaancornelius,

Your twist on an unfortunate accident is humorous. Don't let some of the comments get you down. I sometimes have similar problems when I post. With not seeing facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice, it is sometimes hard to hear the sarcasm or humor in the written word.

Hopefully the victim and others that read the story learned something about gun safety. There are stories about hunters dogs being shot because of an unattended loaded gun being stepped on, dropped, snagged on a branch, whatever.
