I am so upset. I just took Nellie out and a young neighbor with 3 children who looked to be pre nursery school age was dragging an 11 week old black lab back and forth at a full run on the grass across from my house. The middle child kept trying to kick the puppy and momma was doing nothing about it. I asked her if the puppy had all its shots. Answer NO and she wanted it to meet Nellie. I told her she shouldn't have the dog off her property until it was fully immunized and that dragging it on a leash was bad for the poor little thing. It looked just like little Ollie. I suggested she go on-line and get an education. She has no idea what she's in for in the next 2 years. 3 human babies and a baby lab.
Can we have her put on a leash & drug across the lawn or would that be too good for her???
Busy or not, you DO NOT allow children to do that to any animal, let alone a puppy.
My pretty girl, Lexi!
Danie, are you friendly with this neighbor? Please keep on her and try to give her a clue. Perhaps send her our way.

She must be new in the townhouse development. I've never seen her before. I told her to come here and she would get wonderful advice but I was non too friendly so she may think I'm crazy and I couldn't get near to really talk to her because I had Nellie with me. Oh boy, another person who won't pick up dog poop.Originally Posted by jzgrlduff
Poor puppy ... that would just kill me seeing that.
Poor Puppy...Phoenix is 9 and I still supervise his leash handling with all three of the dogs...course Sam does the reversal and drags PHOENIX like those kids were dragging the poor little puppy.
Dogs are great for kids and kids are great for dogs, but the parents have to educate both.
