    DefaultA puzzelment

Although we've been reading this board for some time, this is our first post.
We found Buddy two months ago in a courtesy listing by Lab Rescue. He is a 5 year old
Chocolate who was being held by a local shelter. He came to us with a boatload of
behavioral issues but is showing significant progress in his transformation into a really
    nice "guy".
Anyhow, in the past month he has developed what look like indentations in his fur as if
finger tips were pressed into him and the little dents just remain.
When we took him to our Vet we were told that it could be related to diet, allergies, seasonal change,
skin infection, take your pick, and that we should try fish oil in his food which is Merrick "Grammy's
    Pot Pie" kibble.
We are curious if anyone else has had this happen to their Lab and what was done to correct
the condition. Also what type of fish oil to use. Is the human grade from Costco OK?
Buddy is our third rescued Chocolate in the past 14 years, but we've never seen this before.
All responses would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanking everyone in advance.

My guys get 2 caps once a day http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...=5&item=329716 Merrick is very good food so I would stay with that. Sometimes it can take up to 4 months to see changes. I also add missing link to my guys food. http://www.missinglinkproducts.com/p...?iid=1&catid=3

You might just try feeding them fish. Mine get sardines and Jack Mackral every week. Their coats gleem.

I do not know what the indentations might be from. Could you post a picture of what these look like?

The Fish Oil caps from Costco is fine. My Puff and I both take it. For Puff, I dip a capsule into peanut butter to get a dab on it and she swallows it whole.

I would also suggest adding Missing Link Plus to his food. Thank you for rescuing him - can we see some pics, please?

What a handsome fella! But I don't see any problems with his fur.
