Although we've been reading this board for some time, this is our first post.
We found Buddy two months ago in a courtesy listing by Lab Rescue. He is a 5 year old
Chocolate who was being held by a local shelter. He came to us with a boatload of
behavioral issues but is showing significant progress in his transformation into a really
Anyhow, in the past month he has developed what look like indentations in his fur as if
finger tips were pressed into him and the little dents just remain.
When we took him to our Vet we were told that it could be related to diet, allergies, seasonal change,
skin infection, take your pick, and that we should try fish oil in his food which is Merrick "Grammy's
Pot Pie" kibble.
We are curious if anyone else has had this happen to their Lab and what was done to correct
the condition. Also what type of fish oil to use. Is the human grade from Costco OK?
Buddy is our third rescued Chocolate in the past 14 years, but we've never seen this before.
All responses would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking everyone in advance.
Sorry, i've never come across it in my many years of lab ownership so can't help there, but just wanted to say welcome and hi to Buddy, hope you manage to get some info to help you and post some pics of your boy when you can~
