Sorry - no pics but I caught Dylan last night with a piece of string hanging out of his mouth !
I called him over to investigate and lo and behold there was a mouse on the other end ! Not string then !! ( Tiny tiny little sweet mouse )
Typical Labs soft mouth, the mouse was wet but undamaged so I rescued it into an old plastic peanut jar having pierced the lid a few times ( it just split the plastic )
Dropped some water in an old mustard pot, a few cat biscuits and a lump of cheese and left him to gather his composure.
I looked at him an hour later and he had the cheese in his paws munching away.
Before i went to bed I looked in again, and thought that he might not be getting enough air so I cracked open the lid and retired.
Sadly, this morning there was no mouse ! He escaped ! I know it wasn't the cat because the lid was still mostly on. It will be the cat shortly though...sigh
Don't ever get a job as a prison officer. You'd suck at it!.
he had a new fwend!
Awww how cute. I can picture him sitting in the jar with the cheese in his paws. So now your new friend is running around in your house?

Perhaps I am a big wuss , but I would not have left the mouse in my house! My son volunteered to keep the class pets (rats :scare during Christmas break when he was in kindergarten. I didn't sleep for 2 weeks. They were in a cage that they were not tall enough to get out of and I still stacked books at each of the corners to make sure the top didn't come off !

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
Good boy, Dylan!
Awww, you did your best. I cant believe he didnt eat it!
