    Defaultwhat was I thinking??

I think I had a momentary lapse of good judgement when I agreed to take on 2, 1/12 yr old black labs, brother and sister They have never been inside dogs and can I tell. WOW. I need advice on good chew toys for the male. The female seems to be more advanced than him. They are getting the housetraining figured out though 8). Thanks for letting me vent.

You can vent here all you want!

You can do it!!! The main thing is to tire them out!!

I'm not very knowledgeable on the chew toys, I don't have a big chewer. The black kongs are stronger than the red ones though.
Of course the female is more advanced!! lol

Pretty soon they will be amazing companions.

    Serenity now!

You CAN do it! Nylabones (the "for powerful chewers" ones) are great chew toys, bully sticks as well but they don't last nearly as long.

Patience, persistance and consistency will get you through, triple doses of each!

Definitely the durable Nylabones - NOT the softer, rubbery ones OR the edible ones. The Souper size are great. The Galileos are my boys' favorites.

Definately Nylabones! BJ has also been unable to destroy Kong products and Planet dog toys.

It won't be long before you wonder how you ever got along without them.

Nylabone's Puzzle Bone is pretty good, too. http://www.onlinepetdepot.com/nylabo...olf-pi-72.html

This is what Caleb's first one looked like after 6 months. He eventually chewed it down to where there were only 2 segments left. Once they came disconnected, I tossed it and bought the wolf sized one for him.

Nylabones are wonderful! I bought a chicken and a bacon, super bone. They love them and I am gaining back some of the sanity I lost. Now if I could just get better on the housetraining signals!---Natures Miracle works good
