DefaultEWWWWW! Bauer caught a field mouse!

I was enjoying a nice quiet afternoon, when out of nowhere I heard a lot of commotion downstairs. I heard one son say, "Grab him he has a rock in his mouth." Bauer has a tendency to find rocks in the yard, and try to sneak in with them. The other catches him and says, "Drop it!" He does, and that is when the commotion ensued. It was not a rock, but a half-dead field mouse! EWWWWWW! Mouse-breath! :vomit: :vomit:

Little chocolate Bauer, running through the forest...
Scooping up the field mice, bopping them on the head!

Along came the good fairy and SHE said,
Little chocolate Bauer, I don't want to see you
Scooping up the field mice, bopping them on the head!

I would have been ok with bopping it on the head, but not dropping it on its head . . . in my foyer! His teeth have been thoroughly brushed, and my son (who had it dropped in his hand) has washed his hands about 15 times! Poor kid, but I was pretty impressed with how quickly he dropped it. I wouldn't have pegged my kids for the screaming, screeching 6 year old girl types, but I guess I was wrong!

Same thing happened years ago to my (then) sister in law and our beloved Muffin. She loved to pick things in her mouth, bring them over and when she was supposed to drop it, then run away and make you chase her.

One day whe came with a shoe lace in her mouth so when my sister in law pulled it from her, EEEEK it was a dead mouse...

I thought Maggie had a rock in her mouth once too so I told her to drop it and it was a giant piece of horse poop :surprise: She dropped it right in the middle of the living room floor. The cats ran right over to it and sniffed it too.

I was thinking the same thing. I was remembering the squirrel post, and counting my lucky stars. A squirrel would have definitely sent me over the edge!

Henry caught a field mouse a few years ago as it scurried across the sidewalk, but as it squeaked indignantly in his mouth, he was surprised and let it go. LOL.

However, he did down a dead squirrel.... crunch crunch crunch, down the hatch. *hurk*

    ewwww for sure

Hank and Sally caught a rat this summer and ripped it in half ... and poor hubby couldn't even really tell me the story for HOURS cause we had guests over!!

the shoelaces cracked me up too - in the gross kind of way ... as I had a plug in my washing machine tub - reached into the standing water to clear it .. found a string and pulled and pulled out

    yep you know it

    a little dead MOUSE

I'm not much given to girl screaming either but I sure SCREECHED at that shock!
