Well, Ender gets his wings tomorrow. I'm a nervous wreck, partially due to my own crazy trip coming up, but I'll feel much better once the furkid is back on solid ground and with his mama. Any last tips or tricks to keep him calm? I plan on running him at our new dog park down the street, and then giving him 2-3 Benadryl per the vet's advice 45 minutes before the flight. My main worry is that he'll freak out and cause problems for the crew and possibly get "kicked off' the plane. Not sure how realistic of a concern this is but anyway. Any suggestions beyond what I'm going to do would be good. Thanks.
This is the mood I'm going for:
If Ender is anything like my guys (so chilled, laid back and fearless they are horizontal) he will be fine. Labs take everything in their stride. I guarantee that you will be far more nervous about his flight than he ever will be!
My old neighbours that lived two doors up immigrated from the UK to New Zealand last year. They took their old German Shepherd who had NEVER been crated in his life with them. I was told that he was a little groggy upon arrival (understandable, given the length of the flight) but none worse for wear.
No advice sorry, but I will send some calming thoughts for him (and you) tomorrow!
Courtney, Bogey and Calli
I am confident Ender will be & do just fine on his way to Lindsay! He is a :educated: boy & will probably try to get lovins from all the baggage handlers.
I am sending for you & Ender, that you both have safe travels.
My pretty girl, Lexi!
Sending good thoughts out for both Ender and you. He'll be fine - labs usually find a way to charm everyone they meet.
Sending good thoughts for you both Eric. Safe travels all around.
HAWWWWWWWWWWW Lookit that face.....
We haven't seen enough of Mr Tiltyhead.
Hope his flight is fine: He has a cocktail; works the Times puzzle for a while; munches those honey peanuts; watches the in-flight movie ("Marley and Me" perhaps?); takes a restful nap.
Sending good thoughts for you both Eric.
Just want to wish safe travels for you and Ender!
Good thoughts for both of you and safe travels.
He will be fine. Try not to worry too much.
