Lookit his mush! :-*
See the black toenail on his right front paw? How it kind of sticks up above the others? Do you think it was broken? He limped on an off for a couple of weeks nd then I noticed this toe. He's absolutely fine with it now, hasn't limped in months...but I'm going to feel bad if it was broken and I didn't realize it. Can they even do anything with a broken toe?

No idea, Amy, but if he's not limping on it at all I guess I wouldn't worry about it.
(I could smush that mush!)

I don't know anything about broken toes. Just wanted to say Frankie's got such a sweet face.

awwww...Frankie you cutie!!! :-* :-*
It's not the destination, it's the journey!
What a ham :-*
I don't think they can do anything for a broken toe anyway.
Yeah, I'm not sure what they would do for a broken toe, anyways... At least he's not limping now. I wouldn't go to the vet just for this, but maybe the next time you're there anyways, just mention it?
Frankie is soooo cute. I think you need to post more pics of your crew!! :-* :-*
What a handsome chap!
Judy had a broken toe over 5 years ago. The ortho vet did not cast or splint it, although some do. I was told to keep her down for a while, and it healed. She is fine now, but the broken toe sticks up like that although it doesn't bother her at all. It sticks up more if they have their paws "curled" around something:
See the middle toe on her left foot. It really sticks up there because her claws are curled around the top of the fence.
If he hasn't limped for months, it's healed now. Don't worry.
No answers here - but Frankie is adorable
When Maddy broke a toe, the vet kept the foot wrapped until it was healed. It takes twice as long to heal if you just leave it. It WILL heal though.
