First of all let me say that things are going well with Katie. Today I even bought a couple of books at Half Price Books Training for Dummies and Tricks for Dummies. My husband Karl of course just shakes his head because I have tons of dog related books...but one can never have too much information.
Any how I was telling Dh today how proud I am of Katie. How wonderful she is about potty training. She has been here since Sun. and NOT one accident and that she whines if she has to go out. Of course he gives me that skeptical look since she has been outside for spring. Well this evening I was in the livingroom and she was hanging out in the bedroom with my Dh. She had been out about an hour earlier and did her business and Dh took her for a walk around the property letting her know where her boundries were. Next thing I know here he comes with Katie on the leash heading for the door. I am like whats up? He said I was watching tv and she whined and I told her she was just out so hush and he said the next thing he knew she went over and took her leash off the trunk and brought it to him. LOL Smart cookie!! She went out and pee'd and of course she was highly praised for being such a good girl.
We are also now to where Katie isn't scarfing every morsal of food and every drop of water the minute it hits the bowl. She will eat and drink and then play/sleep ect and then go get a bite here and there through out the day. She finally feels full and knows she isn't going to be starved or only get a little water to last all day.
You not only have a smart girl there, you have a gem. How clever she was to get her leash.
Good girl Katie!
Keep it up, Katie!
What a good girl, and smart.
Katie is so smart and so lucky to have you as her new family! :0)
Not only is she adorable...she is smart too
