    Im so ANGRY!

Ive just caught Alfie with the cats head in his mouth and the kids couldnt get him to let go and I had to shout LEAVE IT 3 Times...I said down and grabbed his ear and really shouted at him but how do I know if he has learnt? And what should I do if he does it again?

Um, wow, I can't believe your cat didn't do anything about it.

I'd keep a close eye on Alfie and discourage him mouthing or picking up the cat.

Is there a safe haven where kitty can escape? Bruno mouths the cat every chance he gets until I give him a firm "leave it". I'm sure he just wants to play, and I know he would never hurt her. He just doesn't understand limits to rough play. Was play Alfie's intent too?

I have the same problem with one of my cats, she just lays there while Gracie mouths her...sometimes Gracie gets very excited and gets rough. Now its alnother story with my younger cat...she actually chases Grace away from her, hissing and swatting, Gracie is scared to death of her. I guess it is constant correction and hopefully the cat can get away if need be.

Not sure what his intent was he was dragging him around the garden lol All I can think Colin is that maybe this time the cat ran away from him and he chased and caught

Karen, was he clamping down on her head, or gently mouthing her? Maybe he just wanted to play?

Yeah the dogs are pretty well beaten around here too, and my cat doesn't even have claws (he's a rescue, no flames please)
