DefaultThis is about all my dogs

Mr. "Nominate the Tennisball" got a little obnoxious about it tonight. None of them seemed to suit him. So I scolded him. "Seamus, if you're not going to play nice with me then I am not going to play with you."

And I brought them inside. Me in a huff. Poor Flynnie... he'll retrieve anything I throw.

Sat down in the Wooserie to visit JL. Opened the window to let the fresh air blow through. They ALL hear a twig snap (or something) and go into horrible vocalizations. Well, two can play that game, so I did my version:

"THAT'S ENOUGH! Just CHILL! ALL of you just CHILL! It's called fresh air and that window is staying OPEN! Do you hear me? OPEN! So just QUIT IT. ALL of you just QUIT IT!" (Yes I'm shouting in my post and I was shouting in the Wooserie, too.)

That was 10 minutes ago... not a peep since.

Woohoo Nance! Way to be the alpha in the pack.

I've found that if I raise my voice with the boys, they settle down immediately and are good for at least 30 minutes. Since Bill always raises his voice, they don't pay much attention to him. *giggle*

We have moments like that Nance

They just sit there gobsmacked ! I can see all of their faces right now as if I was there in person !

The innocent blinking with the eyes swivelling
    The head on the paws
The occasional niff to see if anger is still in the air................

    silence - not even a pant ....

Bauer would have gone for the safety of his crate (he is kind of a sissy). If anyone raises their voice (for any reason), he goes to his crate. My husband was yelling at the baseball game on tv the other night, and Bauer went to his crate.

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
