    Defaultcut paw pad

    It's always something.......
We look the boys on an off leash hike at a park near us. Most of the hike is on gravel or asphault. A bit after we got home Wyatt was limping. URGH. I figured he tore a muscle or something. The next morning we found a nice chuck of his paw pad missing. I've been putting antibiotic ointment on it, hoping it heals quickly. We are going on vacation in less than 3 weeks and I'd love for him to be 100%!

OUCH!!!!!!!!!! Oh man, that's gotta hurt. Keep putting neo on it. You should probably cover it with something when he goes out, until it heals. Not sure what though, a sock maybe? Or buy a dog bootie.

    Ouch! Poor guy

Jake did the same thing about two years ago, his was about the size of a quarter, looked like someone took a melon-baller and scooped out a chunk of his pad. I didn't do anything to it aside from check to make sure it was clean and not infected (he just licked neosporin off) - and it healed within a week. So your boy will hopefully be good to go for vacation!!
