Wow. I just sat and read thru that article; very intelligent and interesting. And I have to agree with your postion - closer to Dunbar's but as is generally the case, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
Yes - e.g., I thought the points about "humanizing" dogs was well taken, giving dogs a medication to reduce weight rather than increasing exercise and lowering kcal intake, etc., as well as attributing to dogs human stages, feelings, motives, schemes, etc.
