Does any one else have a dog who must greet people while holding something in their mouth. Grace is usually leashed. If she sees some one coming in the house or yard, she will put the leash in her mouth and come to greet you. If there is no leash on, she will grab a toy or some thing. The other day my brother in law came in the yard....nothing to grab, so she brought him a leaf
Jake does this, he heads to the toy box when someone come in to bring them something, I think its cute.
So, do you come here often?
My Zeke did this. He always ran to the toy box as soon as he knew someone was coming in the house. I miss him so much.

OMG...that is so cute.
Yes....my previous lab Huckle and current lab Guthrie do that too(not the leaf part....the toy part)
Not when greeting people, but when Bruno jumps on my lap for a nap, he must always find a toy to bring with him. I'm not sure if the toy is an offering or just something he wants near while he naps.
Bauer always puts something in his mouth to greet too, but never a leaf. That is so funny!

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
Eddie does this all the time, pretty funny, as he grunts the whole time while wagging his rear end.
Elias does this all the time. If he can't find a toy he'll grab some random object.
My golden Brooklyn does this, but Remy is more interested in taking you by the hand...with his mouth. This is of course, after he's attempted to knock you down first so he can lick your face.
