DefaultNote to self: Never think things are really OK

Things have been on even keel lately. Then Tina started scooting and peeing in the house and this morning Jack had a raw spot on the side of his head.

$600 later, evrything is on the mend.

Jack had a hot spot on the left side of his head below the ear. Fur was shaved away and we have a powder to put on it twice daily. He is allowed to go swimming in the pool and even get wet. Just needs to be dried off good and powder put on afterward. Jack has not been scratching at it. Vet said it was unusual he did not scratch at it, and says it is in an odd location. My guess is he has been wet and sleeping on it. The funny bump on his belly was looked at and a fine needle procedure was done and shipped out for further study.

Tina has a bladder infection. I have a bet w/ the vet it is ecolli. The Vet is not sure what it is and so the culture has been sent out for analysis. Tina is on an anti biotic until the results are back, then the meds may change. Her anal glands were expressed, and she received her annual yup she is a grand ol' Lab physical exam. As soon as the vet tried to push and prod her belly, Tina tightened up.

    Still worth every penny.

I keep a balance at the vets of 5 cents - always have since I had horses .. every freaking time I pay it off I get hit with a HUGE bill ... too funny but too true

new vets always wonder about it - then I explain - they laugh and let me do my thing - of course every once in awhile I'll forget and pay whole bill - then WHAMMO big bill
