    Default"Play Hangover"

So we had our big annual BBQ this weekend and for the puppies safety (and ok, my sanity) we sent them off to Remy's breeder. She has 4 labs including Remy's mom and sister. They were also boarding a 6 year old lab named Dakota. We dropped them off around 8 a.m. on Saturday. Remy immediately was shown by his sister, Cameo, where the mud pit was and the two of them had a lovely time mucking about. We picked them up around 1 p.m. on Sunday and Remy was just bleary eyed from playing so hard all day. Plus it was 90 degrees with over 80% humidity. And I'm sure he didn't sleep well either.

This is him last night around 8 p.m.:

Mama, I's so seepy...*yawn* ...I's glad to be homes...they didn't have no cool air thingie like we do here...it was sooo hots...I just want to close my eyes for a widdle bits...

cue the snoring of an old man.

Nothing like a good play hangover.

That is a picture of a very tired pup. Wish you had a picture in the mud pit with sister. Looks like he had since been cleaned up.

    Definitely zonked!
I just noticed how long Remy's toes are! Maybe it's just the camera angle?

I thought you were teaching a new command. Like maybe where the dog lies down and covers his head with his paws...

We send Brooklyn over there too. That's how we met the breeder. She's a trainer at our local obedience school and she took Brooklyn a few times. That's hw we met Connie, Remy's Mama. Connie and Brooklyn are BFFs. So when Connie had puppies...we just had to take one. And thus...Remy. So Brooklyn kind of puttered around the edges of the yard while labrador mahem was going on. I hear she did get one good case of the zoomies and all the other dogs were like "Hey! Quick! She's playing!!" and gave her good chase for about 15 minutes. Then Brooklyn was done.

Remy's toes do look crazy long in that pic. I guess they are, but he's got really big feet.
