A good old cup of tea!

We take the dogs out 2 or 3 times aday come rain hail or shine, and as per usual England has had another wash out summer.

Fed up with getting soaked to the skin hubby went out at the weekend and bought himself a small gas stove for the back of his Land Rover.

So today, despite the rain we took the young 'uns on a 4 mile hike and came back to a mug of hot tea and bacon and sausage sandwiches.

It always tastes so much nicer in the great outdoors doesn't it? I took a few pics to share with you on my phone, here we go....

    Just brewing up.

    Bacon sizzling away nicely.

    Mmmm smells good!

Here you go, you didn't think we'd miss you out!

Even the dogs in England drink tea!

We had a very wet but nice walk, Jasmine flushed out several deer, i'm sure that girl should have been an English Springer spaniel she was bouncing through the undergrowth chasing white bob tails.

    Great pics Kate, handsome puppers!

I remember when we visited Dan's family in England in 2004, I had never drank so much tea in my life. And what was so perplexing to me was that his grandmother boiled the milk before putting it in the tea! And then drank it straight away, while we had to wait like 15 minutes before even attempting a first sip for fear of third-degree burns, and looking like this guy --->

I still laugh thinking of it.

Looks like a great set up, Kate. I think it's great that you don't let the weather spoil your (and the pups) fun.
