Well, I had a swell evening last night! As I was driving home from my lab club meeting late last night and as fate would have it, I met bambi and we both lost. My car is pretty smashed up and I am sure the deer didn't survive, although I do not know where it is. My grill is on the highway somewhere, and there are parts everywhere. A nice guy stopped to help me out while I called the police. Thankfully, the car was most drive-able at that time, with just part of the wheel well rubbing against the tire. The State Trooper and the man pulled the plastic off the tire and I was eventually on my way...but now I have to wait for the insurance adjuster and see that my car is properly fixed. So, no trips out of Mt. Pleasant for awhile. I guess I am glad that I don't have any shows coming up in the immediate future.
Anyways, I am thankful that a.) I wasn't hurt, and b.) my boys weren't with me.
Here are the pictures of the aftermath...although, admittedly, it doesn't look *too* bad. But there are deer guts and hair up underneath. :vomit:

Yeesh! I'm glad you're ok!! ?You scared the hell out of me when you called and said you hit a deer...
I'm sooo glad that you're okay. Accidents are very scary.
Wow; I'm sure that was pretty scary. Glad it was not as bad as it could have been; I've heard those things can cause some serious damage.
Wow! That's a bite! I'm glad you're OK. Watch your vehicle. The last time I hit a deer, the damage didn't look too bad from the outside, but there was more damage inside the engine area - of course I had a toyota corolla, and it probably wasn't quite as sturdy as your vehicle.
Sorry Dani. I hate Bambi and I hate all of his relatives!!! Glad you're ok.

Glad you're ok and no one was hurt. Wrecks are pretty scary, even when there is only property damage.
I get so scared driving with sapper in the car. Someone almost t-boned me yesterday I had to slam on my breaks he went flying into the dashboard I was so close to stopping and dragging him out of his car and killing him but I was to worried about my puppy. I guess it is time for a seatbelt for him
Ouch!! Glad you're OK even if the car and the deer came out the losers.
Here in British Columbia with our provincial auto insurance plan, we have to tell them that the deer hit us. If we tell them that we hit the deer, then the accident is considered our fault and we can expect our insurance rates to go up when we renew.
Ouch. I'm glad you're OK. Given what you said, I only hope you hit the deer hard enough it didn't suffer long. But it's so scary with them on the road, they can do some very serious damage.
