DefaultRichard Wolters books Family Dog & Water Dog

A fellow co-worker put me on to these two books, does anyone use them for their training? Some ideas seem a bit ... aggressive but end results are what counts. Anyone had success? My boss has 2 extremely well trained golden's that listen to his every command.

I didn't train that way but read them when I got my first lab. I know the introduction to "Water Dog" by heart!

there are many more modern progressive books out now that offer training programmes based on positive reinforcement. Anything by Pat Miller, Ian Dunbar, Patricia McConnell or Jean Donaldson is miles better than Wolters.
